17-11-08 to 21-11-08: Five days "Training & Refresher Course in Computer" was started. All teachers (PRT, TGT, PGT and Misc. Teacher) were participating in this course.

17-11-08 to 19-11-08: Three days In-Service course of Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur (PRT), Mrs. Manjeet Kaur (TGT, S.St.) and Mr. B.K. Chadha (PGT, Maths) was started.

14-11-08: Mrs. N.K. Chahal was joined the school as HM from KV-1, Halwara.

14-11-08: Bal Diwas (Children's Day) was celebrated in the Vidyalaya under the guidance of the Principal. A fancy dress competition from class I to IX was organized on the special occasion. Two students from secondary section delivered speeches on life history of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.

12-11-08: Cluster level Creative Competitions (Drawing & Painting, Slogan Writing and Best out of Waste) under Common Minimum Programme have been conducted in our Vidyalaya, under the guidance of our worthy Principal, Dr.(Mrs.) Ambika Kalra. 40 students from KV-1 Halwara, KV-2 Halwara, KV Barnala and KV Baddowal took part in the competitions.

11-11-08: Cluster level competition (Group Song, Group Dance and Clay Modeling) was held at KV-1, Halwara. 20 students from primary section and two teachers were participated in this competition.

25-10-08: Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur (PGT, English) was joined the school on transfer basis from KV, RCF, Kapurthala.

25-10-08: A small farewell ceremony of Sh. Bahadur Singh (UDC) was organised.

25-10-08: Annual Sports Day was held. There were different games, sports and athletic event organized. Almost 200 students took part in different events. At the end prizes were distributed to the winners.

15-10-08 & 16-10-08: There are different activities organized on these days like place card show in prayer, skit on food awareness, painting and slogan writing competition, lecture by Sh. A. S. Bagga on healthy food habit and a lecture by the Principal on personal hygiene on the occasion of Food Safety and Quality Day..

05-10-08 to 14-10-08: Autumn Break.

04-10-08: Rangoli Competition was held for primary section. Students from all house are participate in this competition.

01-10-08: Celebrating Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji. Student and teachers were delivered lecture on them.

30-09-08: Staff meeting held and discussion on Half yearly Exams & Common Minimum Programme for Primary.

29-09-08: Closing ceremony and prize distribution of Hindi Pakhwara was celebrated in the Vidyalaya. Mr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, Dy. Director Official Language Implementation committee, Home Ministry, Govt. of India was the chief guest of the celebration. Many activities like patriotic songs, dance, hindi speeches and hindi skits were organized.

27-09-08: Under the NAEP activity Acharya Dev Vrat ji (Principal), Gurukul, Kuruksthra addressed the students of Classes VIII to XII. In his speech emphasized the need of healthy food and meditation for physical and mental well being to highlight the point that the healthy mind resides on a healthy body.

22-09-08: Cluster level subject committee meeting of Mathematics for KV -1 & KV – 2 Halwara and KV Baddowal Cantt was held. 17 teachers from 3 Vidyalayas attended the meeting.

20-09-08 to 26-09-08: IInd Unit test scheduled for classes VI to XII.

17-09-08: Cluster level subject committee meeting of Hindi & Sanskrit for KV -1 & KV – 2 Halwara and KV Baddowal Cantt was held. 18 teachers from 3 Vidyalayas attended the meeting.

15-09-08: As part of “Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah" celebration an Inter House Hindi Poem recitation competition has been held on 15-09-08. Each house represented by 4 participates and recited poems on varied subjects.

12-09-08: The Limca Book of Records Quiz was conducted in Vidyalaya. The quiz was an intra school class room activity to motivate students to expand their knowledge and to encourage the school to take part in the inter city finals.

10-09-08: As part of “Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah" celebration an Inter House Declamation(Hindi)competition for VI to XII Class and Group Song competition for I to V class has been organized.

07-09-08 to 09-09-08: KVS Regional Sports Meet (Athletics) was held at KV-1 and KV-5 Bhatinda Cantt. 11 students of our vidyalaya was paritcipated and won 3 Gold and 3 Bronze Medal.

06-09-08: Annual School level Science & Maths Exhibition was arranged in the Vidyalaya. There were many exhibits laid, which were working models, static models & the experiments were performed by the students on the spot.

06-09-08: Ms. Ranjana Gupta (HM) transfered to KV-2, Ambala Cantt. A small farewell patry organised by the Primary Students and Teachers.

06-09-08: Creative Writing Competition was organised as part of "Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah" celebration. The students of all the classes participated in it and write poems, short stories and articles.

05-09-08: Teacher's Day was celebrated with a great enthusiasm in the remembrance of Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan in Vidyalaya. Two senior teachers of our vidyalaya was honored by the students and the teachers on this ocasion.

31-08-08 to 01-09-08: KVS Regional Sports Meet was held at various KVs. Football, Kho-Kho, Chess and Shooting teams of our vidyalaya was paritcipated. Football team won the silver medal and 5 players was selected for National. Ikshit of class VIII A won the Silver Medal in Shooting.

30-08-08: Navita of X A got I Prize in Drawing and Painting competition (Social Science Exhibition) held at KV-1, Ambala Cantt.

30-08-08: Staff meeting held and preparation of IInd unit test was discussed.

29-08-08: One Guide Namita of X B Passed Rajya Puraskar at KV-1, Gwalior.

23-08-08: The Vidyalaya celebrated the Krishna Janmashtmi with full enthusiasm. A Krishna Leela and different gestures of Lord Krishna were presented by the tiny tots of the Vidyalaya.

15-08-08: Celebration of Independence Day with Flag hoisting by the Officiating Mr. Avtar Singh Bagga.

14-08-08: Celebration of Independence Day with cultural activities like welcome Dance, skits and speeches.After the celebration Laddoos were distributed to all Students and Staff members.

14-08-08 to 21-08-08: Ist Unit test scheduled for class XI.

14-08-08 Parent Teacher meeting was held to discuss the progress and performance in Ist Unit Test of classes III to X and XII.

11-08-08 & 12-08-08: KVS Regional Social Science Exhibition was held at KV -1, Ambala. 02 students of our vidyalaya participated in the said exhibition. 1 teacher escorted the students. One Model Fairs and Festivals was selected for National Social Science Exhibition.

08-08-08: Social Science Exhibition at Vidyalaya level was held on 08-08-08 and the principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra inaugurated the exhibition. The students of 6th to 9th and 11th showed keen interest for preparing charts, exhibits regarding Jharkhand and Egypt.

08-08-08: 3 teachers (Mrs. Surjeet Kaur, Mrs. Jayanti Lal & Mr. Naveen Saxena) from KV-2, Halwara joined Vidyalaya.

07-08-08: 3 teachers (Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Mrs. Parveen Singla & Mrs. Sunita Bhagat) transfered to KV-2, Halwara and 1 teacher (Mrs. Kamal Gandhi) transfered to KV-1, Halwara. One Teacher (Mrs. Sushma Kaushal) from KV-1, Halwara joined Vidyalaya.

04-08-08: Vidyalaya Anuual Inspection to be held. Education Officer and Two Principals will inspect the vidyalaya.

02-08-08: Social Science Exhibition to be held at KV -2, Patiala. 31 students of our vidyalaya will participate in the said exhibition. 3 teacher will escort the students.

01-08-08 to 03-08-08: Dutiya Sopan Testing Camp to be held at KV, RCF, Hussainpur, Kapurthala. 6 Scouts and 6 Guides of our vidyalaya will participate in the said Camp. One Male and One female teacher will escort the students.

31-03-08: Staff meeting held and minutes of Principal's Confrence was discussed.

30-07-08: Namita Pal (X B) of our school selected for Rajaya Puraskar.

28-07-08 to 30-07-08: Rajaya Puraskar Testing Camp was held at KV No. 1, Patiala. 3 Scouts and 2 Guides of our vidyalaya participated in the said Camp. One female teacher escorted the students.

21-07-08 to 28-07-08: Ist Unit test scheduled for classes III to X and XII.

11-07-08 to 13-07-08: Petrol Testing Camp was held at KV No. 2, Patiala. 6 Scouts and 6 Guides of our vidyalaya participated in the said Camp. One male and one female teacher escorted the students.

30-06-08: Staff meeting to discuss I unit test for class (I to IX) and common test for class (X & XII).

30-06-08: Inter class decoration & cleanliness competition was organized.

28-06-08: Inter house House Rangoli Competition was organized. APJ Abdul Kalam house stood first.

25-06-08: Admission process for class XI started.

13-05-08: VMC Meeting held. Various points for development of Vidyalaya were discussed.

31-03-08: Discussion for the next academic session 2008-09 done elaborately in the staff meeting. Committees for various departments formed and teachers informed. Principal suggested the kind of homework to be assigned during the holidays. Class magazine to be submitted by 30th July.

24-04-08: 21 days Art & Craft workshop was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra at 3.00 PM under the guidance of our Drawing Teacher, Mr. Joginder Singh. 40 students are taking part in this workshop.

26-04-08: Annual Function of KV Baddowal Cantt. was celebrated with great pomp and show. The Chief guest Col. Peyush Joshi presided over the function.

21-04-08: Practice for the Annual Function been started. Annual Day will be held on 26th April at 6.00 P.M. Col. Peyush Joshi will preside of the function as Chief Guest.

31-03-08: Discussion for the next academic session 2008-09 done elaborately in the staff meeting. Committees for various departments formed and teachers informed.

31-03-08: List of class – I displayed for admission for the next session i.e. 2008-09.

28-03-08: Result of (2007-08) classes 1-IX and XI was declared.

03-03-08: Under NAEP programme a team of Doctors from DMC came to the Vidyalaya for free Medical check up of the students of Primary Section.

29-02-08: (Staff meeting) It was discussed and opinion was sought from the staff members to improve the smooth functioning of the Vidyalaya and to improve the result. Teachers were instructed to give the invigilation duty sincerely, dates were discussed regarding the discussion of annual result.

25-02-08: Farewell party organized by the class IX student for Class X and give good wishes for their Board exams

23-02-08: Farewell party organized by the class XI student for Class XII and give good wishes for their Board exams.

22-02-08:  Lord Baden Powell’s birthday was celebrated. In the morning all faith prayer was held and a community lunch also arranged.

21-02-08 to 23-02-08: Cub and Bulbul Utsav was held at KV No. 3, Ambala Cantt.. 6 cubs and 6 bulbuls of our vidyalaya participated in the said festival. Two teachers escorted the students.

20-02-08: To cultivate in the students the habit of saving and to expose them to working of bank. PNB bank provided opportunity of opening the bank account. The students filled the forms themselves and thus opened their accounts.

16-02-08:  The on-site Teacher’s training for the Primary Teachers was successfully completed under the direction of worth Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra.

15-02-08:  The Primary section of this Vidyalaya is being shown the movie “Tare Zameen Par”.

14-02-08 to 16-02-08: On-site workshop for the primary teacher is being held. The principal, Mrs. Ambika Kalra is the mentor and the Headmistress Ms. Ranjana Gupta is the Resource Person for this workshop.

11-02-08:  Practical Examination of Accountancy of class XII taken by the External Examiner (Mrs. Renu Singla, GHGPSSS, Sindhwan Khurd).

11-02-08:  Under NAEP programme a team of Doctors headed by Dr. Rajoo Singh Chhina from DMC with learned doctors namely Dr. G.S.Bajwa, Dr. Vineet Galhotra, Dr. Gobind came to the Vidyalaya for free Medical check up of the students.

08-02-08:  Practical Examination of Informatics Practices of class XII taken by the External Examiner (Sh. Anish Bansal, KVM, Ludhiana).

08-02-08:  A team from PNB headed by Manager with staff members came in Vidyalaya to tell the students to how they can open their accounts in the bank and benefits of savings.

04-02-08:  Practical Examination of Physical Education of class XII taken by the External Examiner (Sh. Satwinder Singh, JNV, Lohara).

02-02-08:  Acharya Ramanand Ji gave a lecture on Discipline and Moral Values under NAEP.

01-02-08: Dr. Kum Kum Sharman gave a very enlightening talk on the topic Drug De-Addiction to the students of class IX and XI under the programme NAEP.

31-01-08: (Staff meeting) It was discussed and opinion was sought from the staff members to improve the smooth functioning of the Vidyalaya and to improve the result.

29-01-08: A lecture on HIV/ AIDS was delivered by our science teacher among IX and XI students.

26-01-08: Celebration of Republic Day with flag hoisting and cultural activities.

25-01-08 to 04-02-08: IInd preboard exam scheduled for classes X and XII.

23-01-08: Celebration of Subash Chandra Bose Birthday.

21-01-08 to 28-01-08:  IIIrd Unit test scheduled for classes III to IX and XI.

17-01-08: Meeting of parent and staff member with VMC members was organized to advocate NAEP and make aware them about NAEP activities going to be organized in Vidyalaya till march 2008.

16-01-08: Parent Teacher meeting was held in Principal Office to discuss the progress and performance in Ist Preboard exam of X and XII class students.

05-01-08: Guru Gobind Singh Birthday celebration with speech, moral talk and Guru Bani.
