Cluster level subject committee meeting of Mathematics for KV -1 & KV – 2 Halwara and KV Baddowal Cantt was held on 22-09-08 . 17 teachers from 3 Vidyalayas attended the meeting. Meeting was started with the inaugurated speech of Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra, Principal, KV Baddowal cantt. During meeting many point were discussed like list of projects, lesson to be covered before half yearly exams, minimum programme for slow learners from each chapter, list of extra books, some important mathematical sites, quiz competition, home work for autumn break etc.

Cluster level subject committee meeting of Hindi & Sanskrit for KV -1 & KV – 2 Halwara and KV Baddowal Cantt was held on 17-09-08 . 18 teachers from 3 Vidyalayas attended the meeting. Meeting was started with the inaugurated speech of Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra, Principal, KV Baddowal cantt. During meeting many point were discussed like list of projects, lesson to be covered before half yearly exams, minimum programme for slow learners from each chapter, list of extra reference books for bright students, activity to be done under Hindi Pakhwara, quiz competition, home work for autumn break etc.

As part of “Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah celebration an Inter House Hindi Poem recitation competition has been held on 15-09-08. Each house represented by 4 participates and recited poems on varied subjects. The poems were highly appreciated. The competition conducted with speech about the importance of Hindi as National Language by Mr. K.G. Shukla (PGT, Hindi) and Poem by Miss. Namrata Soni (TGT, Sanskrit). The Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra appreciated the emotions expressed by the different participants in their poems.

The Limca Book of Records Quiz was conducted in Vidyalaya on 12 th September, 2008. The quiz was an intra school class room activity where each student was handed over a questionnaire with 15 general knowledge questions. The purpose of the quiz was to motivate students to expand their knowledge and to encourage the school to take part in the inter city finals.

As part of “Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah celebration an Inter House Declamation(Hindi) competition has been organized on 10 th Sep 2008. The students of classes VI to XII participated in it. The topic given were “Jal Hi Jiwan Hai” and “Ladka Ladki ek Samaan”. The students of Primary classes i.e. (I to V) participated in Inter House Group Song competition. Patriotic songs were sung by a group of students from each house.

Annual School level Science & Maths Exhibition was arranged in the school on 6 th September 2008. There were many exhibits laid, which were working models, static models & the experiments were performed by the students on the spot. Our school principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra showed great interest to motivate & encouraged the Students.

In order to give expression to the creativity among the students, Creative Writing Competition has been organized on 6 th September 2008 as part of “Hindi Maha / Pakhwara / Saptah celebration. The students of all the classes participated in it and write poems, short stories and articles. The best one will be selected and published in the Vidyalaya Patrika.

Teacher's Day celebration in KV, Baddowal Cantt. was observed with a great enthusiasm in the remembrance of Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan. The celebration started with the introduction of pupil teachers offering their regards to the followed teachers. On this occasion two teachers Mr. A. S. Bagga and Mr. Kartar Singh (will be retired in end of current session) honored by the students and teachers. After that the pupil teachers were observed by the judges. A staff photograph was snapped. After recess, a get together was organized and give prizes of best pupil teacher in each

First Day of Class I in Vidyalaya (13-04-09)

The children of class I were welcomed during the morning assembly. After the assembly they were taken in the Activity Room which was decorated with balloons, buntings etc. A welcome song was presented by students of Class 2 nd & 3 rd . H.M. Mrs. N.K. Chahal informed the parent regarding the system and functioning of KVs. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra congratulate the parents for getting their wards admitted in K.V. and told about cleanliness and neutrinos food in the Tiffin.
