Location and Building
  
Kendriya Vidyalaya is located in the campus of 17 FAD Baddowal Cantt. Situated on the Ferozepur Road about 8 Km. from Ludhiana City.The cantonment which houses the Vidayalaya is safe, secure nestled in sylvan surroundings, far from the polluted environment of Ludhiana, Baddowal is well connected with both bus and rail links within 1 Km radius. The Vidyalayas was established in July 1984 to cater to the needs of the children of defence personnel serving in the installations of Dholewal Cantt. & Jagraon Bridge, Paramilitary forces like ITBP, Central excise, Banks and other Govt. & Semi Govt. organizations. The wards of retired personnel are also benefited by this Vidyalaya. The school is up to XII class with commerce stream. Each class has two sections and each section has 35 to 40 students. Hence there is ample scope for individual attention.  
  

House System  
  
The students have been alotted different houses to conduct various co-curricular activities such as poem recitation, debate, declamation etc.The students are selected on the basis of merit act as and maintain discipline in the school. This helps them to acquire qualities of leadership and responsibilities and thus enable them to become useful citizens. The house system is as follows.
